As an established building society, our client has developed a range of independent, personal financial services for their members and the local communities in which they serve. An opportunity has now arisen for a part time Customer Service Advisor to join their team.

This role would suit someone with excellent communication skills, customer service experience and the ability to identify sales opportunities. A commitment to delivering a first class service is essential. An excellent benefits package and continuous training and development opportunities make this a role not to be missed.

As a Customer Service Advisor you’ll be responsible for processing administration and counter transactions whilst promoting the society’s products and services in order to maximise sales. This role involves working to targets, and as such you should be confident working in such an environment.

Your duties will include:

- processing customer transactions in an efficient and friendly manner

- promoting the society’s range of products and services

- identifying customer savings needs and offering advice on relevant products

- interviewing customers, opening savings accounts

- dealing with a range of enquiries, such as lost passbooks and change of address

- ordering and maintaining cash levels as required

To be considered for this position, you must have experience of working in a customer service role and an office-based environment. You must also hold five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language, and have good keyboard skills.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will also be required to demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to spot potential sales. You must also have a consistent, friendly approach to customers whilst promoting a professional image.

Whilst not essential, a driving licence would be beneficial to your application, as would any experience in a sales environment. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will work between 15 and 18.25 hours per week.
